WHY and HOW: Why i choose this moment and how it connects with my building proposal This space itself is an extension to the original part of the Theater Royal which can represents my idea to design an extension for Essoldo cinema in Stretford. As for the story behind the chosen scene, each activity, dialogue or position represents a concept, a programme that I want to include in my design. I want to leave behind the social boundaries and having people from three generations in that moment, is something that can act as a prove this is possible. We have the man looking through the window towards the opposite building which in my case I will adopted it towards Essoldo by framing it. The kid in the foreground, which spent his time there only writing, represents the publishing house and the adult couple, discussing a play while drinking a glass of wine- film studio aspect of my design.

/Moment of Exchange/

STUDY TRIP

BRIEF: We were required to produce a drawing /moment of exchange/ generated by a computer software - Revit or AutoCAD. Section or an axonometric drawing at the scale of 1:5 which has to capture an emotion/dialogue/movement or activity, be somehow related to our own project proposal and to be in a building older than from the 90s that contains elements both old and new.

THEATER ROYAL EXTENSION

TITLE: Opposition

PLACE: Glasgow, Scotland, UK The action takes place at the extension part of The Theater Royal in Glasgow. It is the oldest theater in the city and originally opened in 1867 and rebuilt in 1879 and 1895. The new foyer space where I had access to was design by Page/Park and reopened in 2014.
